PRO-LIFE UPDATE

Dear Friends,

I need your help.

I am working with producer, Jack Cashill, production company, Outpost Worldwide and actress, Jennifer O'Neill, to produce a 60 minute artistic/dramatic presentation of the 36th annual March for Life.

We recently posted a commercial about our film to the front page of our website — www.thineeyes.org. Please take a look and forward the site to your Pro-Life friends.

We are offering a pre-sale of the "Thine Eyes" DVD. Individuals and/or organizations can purchase individual copies or buy in bulk for significant discounts.

We also offer a custom ending for organizations that may wish to use "Thine Eyes" as a fund raising tool and/or premium gifts for donors. The custom ending will include unique audio/visual and your specific appeal with your contact information -- length of the custom appeal may vary. The final cut of "Thine Eyes" will be available in March of 2009.

This high definition film promises to bring the March for Life to the living rooms, dorm rooms and conference rooms of America!

The objective?

* Capture the spirit of the world's largest and most consistent Pro-Life event - the annual March for Life in Washington DC and tie it to the overall cause to defend life.

Last Friday, tens of thousands gathered at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. for the “March for Life” in commemoration of the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision (Roe v. Wade) that legalized abortion. Actress Jennifer O’Neill was one of the speakers sharing about the struggles millions of women continue to carry with them after an abortion. “Our basic campaign is that abortion hurts women,” stated O’Neill.

The day before the March for Life, O’Neill spoke to youth at a Silent No More Awareness gathering event in Washington, D.C. Silent No More, brings awareness to the damage that women and men suffer in post abortion and the emotional and spiritual healing that is available through Christ.

O’Neill believes that children today are being brought up in a culture of death, yet they are realizing the importance of their voice for life. O’Neill in referring to the youth attending the rally stated, “They are awesome! They are who we have to pass the baton to. We are bold and loving and not lukewarm about the issue. So it is just particularly exciting to work with the youth on this issue,” continued O’Neill.

Among the major film credits Ms. O’Neill achieved as an actress in the 1970’s was Rio Lobo, The Summer of ’42 and The Carey Treatment. During this period she also had an abortion which she regrets today. She knows first hand what a post abortion experience brings to the mother and father. “The aftermath is devastating. 1/3 of our young generation is missing because of abortion. And the statistics show that women who have suffered abortions have higher rates of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, depression, substance abuse and death. We are not designed to kill our children!” stated Mrs. O’Neill.

“If you put it in practical terms as far as this health bill and those voting on it need to understand on a practical side it will cost billions of dollars to cover the aftermath for women’s health and follow up care (after an abortion)” stated O’Neill.

According to O’Neill, the climate today in Washington is seeking to include the public funding of abortions in the Health Care legislation. “We need to have our voices very clear. My banner is experience overrides theory! They used to be able to say that what you are carrying is a cluster of cells with the absence of the ultrasound. Now we clearly know that what anyone is carrying from conception is a baby,” she stated.

O’Neill feels that countless women out there are Silent No More. “We are accepting God’s grace, forgiveness, healing and wholeness in Christ for all that we did. Then we can become billboards for the truth!” stated O’Neill.

At the March for Life rally last Friday, Chairman Mike Pence (R-Ind.) told CNS News that the language in the senate healthcare bill that would allow tax dollars to fund abortions played a role in defeting it."“I want to give great credit to the pro-life Republicans and Democrats who took a stand in the House of Representatives on the traditional language that was encompassed first in the Hyde Amendment and then in the Stupak-Pitts Amendment – so, I think it played a critical role."

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) recently said that there were not enough votes to pass the Senate-version of the bill in the House of Representatives.

The Silent No More Awareness is a non denominational, non political group that brings public awareness to the devastation abortion brings to women and men. The campaign seeks to expose and heal the secrecy and silence surrounding the emotional and physical pain of abortion. This is a project of Priests for Life and Anglicans for Life in which Jennifer O'Neill and Dr. Alveda King (niece of Dr. Martin Luther King) are the spokespersons.

In addition, Ms. O’Neill is an author and has penned her autobiography, Surviving Myself — William Morrow Publishing, From Fallen To Forgiven — Word Publishing, You’re Not Alone — HCI Publishing.

Recently, Jennifer O'Neill help produce a documentary presentation of the March for Life which was shot in Washington DC. The film is called Thine Eyes: A Witness to the March for Life. There is a commercial posted about the film in the front page of the website -- www.thineeyes.org.

Recent News & Letters of Appreciation...

Dear Jennifer:

Peg and I want to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the warm welcome you extended to Peg and me when we came to see you in Nashville. The lovely supper and warm conversation we shared with you on the way back to Birmingham has made us feel we have become your friends.

As the keynote speaker for our annual Her Choice Women’s Center you were incredible. On the podium with the city lights below in the background the stage was set, and you led our 500 supporters along on your difficult journey through life. Alternating humor and sorrow, you brought all of us with you through your years of pain and sorrow, abortion, accepting God’s grace, healing and redemption.

In a sense, your life story was and is an inspiration to all of us, taking us all so personally and graphically along, connecting us with the unfathomable power of the grace of God to heal the mistakes and failures that are part of our lives also.

And in response, immediately after the banquet and in the subsequent days the universal comment was: “best banquet and speaker we have ever had.” To date the total one time gift and pledges totals over $194,000, the largest response we have had. This shows the power of the Holy Spirit who is not worried about the state of our economy.

This will allow us to pay off some of our accrued debts from the year and add some facets needed in our Sexual Integrity and Earn While You Learn programs.

May God be with you and your family, you and your ministries are in our prayers, let us know if we could be of any assistance to you.

Blessings and grace;

Delbert H. Hahn M.D.

I've heard Jennifer O'Neill speak on many occasions. She gets right to your heart while making you think about real life and where you are in it because she is real. I've watched women and men, waiting in line, dying to talk to her after hearing her speak to them.

She is a highly gifted speaker, teacher and auther. Besides hearing her I've read many of her books and they are wonderful. About real people with real problems and they won't let you go until you're finished and wanting the next one. Her own life's journey had been a "back and forth" adventure between the deepest valleys and the highest peaks until she found her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

This is why I believe she is so effective as an encourager and healer. She has been through most of the positives and negatives that most women will ever go through and they can always find something in themselves that identifies with her. Through Jesus she learned to forgive herself and she has helped others learn to forgive themselves.

I have been a Jennifer O'Neill fan since I saw classic "Summer Of '42" many years ago. At the time I had no idea how her life would impact me later. Not as a beautiful and talented movie star, but as a woman who is being used mightily by God!

Sincerely,

Dickey Lee

The overcast skies couldn't dim the brilliant light of 600 "stars" shining as they held out the Word of Life at the John Q. Hammons' Center during LifeChoices' Annual Celebration Banquet on September 11th. It was a radiant evening enjoyed by all. Hearts were touched by the LifeChoices' ministry report and more than a few tears were shed as Jessica's story was shared via video. Jennifer O'Neill gave a powerful testimony of God's redeeming love and forgiveness in her life. The challenge was issued to make an investment in the lives four-state youth, women and their families by partnering financially with LifeChoices. Thanks to everyone who answered that challenge - approximately $110,000 was raised throught the banquet!

"Shine like starts in the universe as you hold out the Word of Life." Philippians 2:15-16
